JCI USA 100 Days of Impact

2015 marks the 100th Anniversary of when Henry Giessenbier began the group that would bring the world the Jaycees. All around the world, chapters are participating in Project Impact 100 - planning Active Citizen Framework projects that will impact a minimum of 100 people.

On July 5, JCI USA will kick-off the "100 Days of Impact" to work with chapters to celebrate our 100th anniversary and work to improve 100 (and more) people's lives. Whether planting 100 trees, completing 100 acts of random kindness, or completing a Nothing but Nets project fundraising for 100 nets - start planning your "100 Days of Impact" project today!

Join the anniversary celebration kicking off 100 days of Impact that will culminate on October 13, 2015 with chapters planning screenings of the JCI 100th Anniversary Documentary.

More information on how to get involved (including running a half-marathon with National President Jennifer in October to raise funds and awareness for Nothing but Nets) will be coming over the next few weeks.

JCI USA Strategic Plan

The JCI USA Strategic Plan was a top contender for an International Award at the recent Conference of the Americas...but do you know what it is all about? On March 28, 2015, the JCI USA Board of Directors approved the adoption of the JCI USA Strategic Plan to guide the vision for the national organization from 2015 - 2020. This plan is available to all members and can be used as a guiding document for your chapters.

The strategic plan provides context to all board decisions and organization activity.  It provides the broad vision that shapes goals and objectives for the next 5 years.  Read the strategic plan to stay informed about where your association is headed.

JCI USA Upcoming National Conventions!

National Summit

June 1 is the last day to pre-register for the inaugural JCI USA National Summit.  What is a National Summit?  The JCI USA National Summit is not "GALS for 2015" but is a brand new experience bringing together members, partners, and interested individuals who want to really explore the issues affecting young people in the United States (as outlined in the UN Millennial Development Goals), consider big picture solutions, generate resolutions, and carry those resolutions and solutions to Capitol Hill on the concluding day of the conference.  Many partners and groups engaged in these same efforts, from Johnson & Johnson to UNICEF to the EPA, will join us as speakers, trainers and attendees.  The Summit is designed for big thinkers to rub elbows with fellow big thinkers.  All members are welcome and highly encouraged to attend this inaugural event.  Go here to learn more and register.

JCI USA Annual Meeting, Houston, TX

The JCI USA Annual Meeting will be held in September in Houston, Texas. This is an opportunity to elect officers for 2016, re-connect with friends from across the nation and make new friends, attend fantastic trainings, and even participate in a little competition called..."JAYCEE SHARK TANK"! Through this training, members will be watching and learning how venture capitalists analyze and break down a business plan under consideration for funding.  Members will watch this unfold in a live setting as area venture capitalists discuss real proposals from up to two members. Members with an entrepreneurial spirit and an idea worth considering are invited to participate.  Entry forms and more information can be found here.

All information regarding the JCI USA Annual Meeting can be found here.

2016 JCI USA National Convention - Carnival Cruise to Cozumel

It's not too early to start planning for 2016.  Register here and take advantage of special opportunities for the first 300 people registered for the 2016 National Convention on the Carnival Cruise Line.

The cruise will depart from Tampa, Florida and include many great opportunities on board while we celebrate the end of 2015 and the continued success of 2016!!
